Adams, Allen, Blackford, DeKalb, Delaware, Elkhart, Grant, Henry, Howard, Huntington, Jay, Kosciusko, Lagrange, Miami, Noble, Randolph, Steuben, Tipton, Wayne, Wabash, Wells, or Whitley counties... Then you live in 2nd Brigade
If you live in Indianapolis or surrounding counties including:
Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Madison, Marion, or Morgan counties, Then you live in 5th (HQ) Brigade
If you live in the Southwest part of Indiana including:
Clay, Crawford, Dubois, Daviess, Gibson, Greene, Knox, Lawrence, Martin, Monroe, Orange, Owen, Parke, Perry, Pike, Posey, Putnam, Spencer, Sullivan, Warrick, Vigo, or Vanderburgh counties... Then you live in 3rd Brigade
If you live in Southeast Indiana including:
Bartholomew, Brown, Clark, Dearborn, Decatur, Fayette, Floyd, Franklin, Harrison, Jackson, Jefferson, Jennings, Johnson, Ohio, Ripley, Rush, Shelby, Scott, Switzerland, Wayne or Washington counties... Then you live in 4th Brigade
Joining the Indiana Militia is easy!
First, you must be an Indiana citizen with lawful residence in the state for 60 days. Download the official IMC application, fill it out, and either email it to us, using the 'SUBMIT' button in the upper right-hand corner, or you can print it & send it to us the old-fashioned way at PO Box 276, Ingalls, Ind 46048. The latter method is more secure. You will be asked to submit some personal information to verify that you are a law abiding citizen of Indiana, so that we may process your membership. Simply right-hand click on the documents listed below, save and print.
The application form is an important tool - so that we may contact you and get to know you better...and for you to get to know us. Once this information has been sent to us, you are on your way to becoming an actively involved militia member. Be aware that the information you submit is voluntary and will be kept confidential and secure. Before you are admitted, you will be given materials for new members such as your militia handbook and some other orientation materials.
Convicted felons, racists, moral reprobates, socialists, anarchists, & provocateurs are not welcome. If you fit any of these categories, save your energy and our time and do not apply. The Indiana Militia Corps will NOT allow itself to be used as a platform for other agendas. Anyone applying for this reason will be dropped for misrepresentation. Don't tread on us!
Everyone joining IMC must complete page 1 and section 6 on the application form to be considered for enlistment or appointment, NO EXCEPTIONS. If you have questions about this policy and the necessity of it, contact HQ.

If you are using a library or work computer that prevents you from downloading the application, and if you are able to print out the application, we suggest that you try our FILLABLE-PDF APPLICATION. Simply open the document online, type in the highlighted fields, then print the document. Your printed document will then include exactly everything you typed and will be ready for your signature. If circumstances prevent you from accessing the application in any way, call 888-314-1986 to arrange a meetup so you can get a printed copy in person, or send a large self-addressed stamped envelope to us at the address shown above.
You can also fill in the blanks on our application form, save a copy to your computer, and click the 'SUBMIT' button in the upper-right-hand corner of the application when you're ready to send it to us, even before you print a hardcopy. You can bring the signed last page with you when you appear to be sworn-in.
